Please phone for appointments 4-5 days in advance to enable the best choice of times to be available to you.
Our appointments are scheduled at 15 minute intervals.
Please book a long appointment for complex medical issues, insurance or pre-employment medicals as well as any forms that need to be completed by your Doctor.
Please advise reception if you are booking for a cervical screening test, as this also requires an extended appointment.
If more than one family member is required to see the Doctor at the same time, separate appointments must be made.
We do try to maintain appointment times, although this is sometimes very difficult. We ask for your patience and understanding. You may find if helpful to phone the surgery to find out if the Doctor is running late.
Please advise reception when making your appointment if you require an interpreter service.
We do take urgent appointments on the day, however as we are often fully booked, we ask that you phone at 8:30am on the day.
We only have a few urgent appointments available per session, so a priority system must be in place. We ask that offence not be taken if the receptionist or nurse asks the general nature of your problem.
After Hours Arrangements
All out of hours emergencies will be attended to by contacting: GP Access Afterhours 1300 130 147.
As you would be aware interruptions and unnecessary delays to your consultation can be frustrating. Most queries are best dealt with by consultation with the Doctor, but if urgent, your Doctor may discuss a telephone query with you.
Please leave a brief description of your query, with your name and contact number with the reception staff and they will talk to Doctor on your behalf.
If deemed necessary, the Doctor will return your call.
Please note that at this time, we do not communicate with patients via email due to our confidentiality policy and the lack of email security.
Do you need an interpreter?
Please advise reception prior to your appointment if you do not speak English and require a translator. Alternatively you can Phone: 1300 131 450 to organise this yourself.
Do you have a hearing or speech impairment?
Please advise reception prior to your appointment if you require assistance with communication. National Relay Service (NRS) will be contacted. Alternatively you can phone 1800 555 660 or 1800 555 630 (NRS)
Home visits are available to patients at Nursing Homes and Private Residents (within 10kms) at the Doctors discretion. This can be discussed with the Nurse or Doctor by phoning the surgery.
