It is important for immunity and general wellbeing of the mum and infant to receive human milk.<br>Breastfeeding also reduces risks of breast and ovarian cancer in mothers as well as diabetes and cardiovascular disease just to name a few benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Women\u2019s health checks<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Cervical screening tests for the detection of early changes to the cervix which can lead to cancer.<\/li><li>Breast checks (including self-education), looking for changes and abnormalities in the breast tissue<\/li><li>Blood Pressure, weight, lifestyle, diet <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Men\u2019s health checks <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Blood pressure, weight, lifestyle, diet<\/li><li>Prostate checks<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Close the Gap<\/strong> for improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Immunisation<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Travel vaccinations<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Skin checks<\/strong> &#8211; detection of changes in skin and blemishes<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Health Kids check<\/strong> &#8211; for children aged between 3 \u00bd and 5 years of age and can include the 4 year immunisation.
